Kalyvitis is located in the southeastern part of Crete. It is an idyllic place in the middle of olive groves surrounded by mountains with fragrant pine trees. Here, you are in 'green nature' but at the same time close to the sea with its secluded coves.

We (Heidi and Manu) live here largely self-sufficiently. A lifestyle that has brought us back to basics and connection with nature. Because we would like to share this with those who want to escape from the fast modern society, we have created this place. A place where you can find complete peace and experience your holiday in your own way with nature.

TWO STONE COTTAGES
AND THE STONE HOUSE

At Kalyvitis, there are two stone cottages and a traditional stone house . They all have a large terrace with breathtaking views over the green valley. They are built with local natural stone and are 100% solar-powered.

It is the ideal place for 'slow travelers', nature lovers, and visitors seeking an authentic connection with the island. Because here, you are invited to slow down , reconnect with nature, and discover the peaceful rhythm of rural life in Crete.

As self-sufficient as possible

The Kalyvitis concept consists of more than just renting the cottages and the house. Our growing need to be largely self-sufficient and independent has led to us focusing more and more on growing and producing our own food. In addition to our olive oil, which we sell also abroad, we make a number of products on a very small scale for the immediate area. And of course, we also like to let our guests at Kalyvitis taste!

And of course.. our Olive Oil

Our extra virgin olive oil comes from our own olive groves. We maintain and harvest ourselves the total of 500 olive trees. The entire process (from olive on the tree to oil in the can) is also entirely in our own hands. So we can guarantee that our olive oil is pure and is never mixed with other oils. Every year, immediately after harvesting, we sell the entire production and deliver the olive oil directly to our customers' homes.
